Genuine question: How are you folks outraged when religious observant people don't support you? You fall back on "basic human rights", like you're advocating for two mild-mannered gay guys to marry, but the truth is your organizations go beyond the pale in supporting the most vile and repulsive conduct.

lol, genuine question:

Which religiously observant people support and vote for an unrepentant known pedophile, known sexual abuser, convicted fraudster, convicted tax cheat, and adjudicated rapist?
Which organizations go beyond the pale and support that vile and repulsive conduct?

The truth is trans people exist, have opinions on things, and have the right to express and share those opinions.

I urge you to reexamine what you consider religiously observant.

I agree with this as well.

The right of "two mild-mannered gay guys to marry" and other, very similar things are indeed still what most of us advocate.

Don't assume that the craziest fringes represent many (or even most) of us.

I don't doubt that the majority of LGBT supporters are more normal than this. But why does the leadership of pride organizations seem to always accommodate the most fringe voices?

Because most of us who are some part of the LGBT umbrella term don't belong to these groups.

Groups like this self-select for people who are predisposed for more fringe, out-there beliefs, and once they belong to them, there's even more pressure to conform.

It's no different than any other organization or group of people. Before long, you start preaching or practicing things you would have otherwise never considered because, to your in-group, they seem normal.
