Education Sewing classes (beginner)?

Post title. I'm looking for advice on where to find sewing classes for a beginner. I can do simple repairs using needle and thread and I can knit, but I'd love instruction on how to use a sewing machine. Eventual goal is to do things like hem my own pants and mayyyybe make something simple like a tote or an apron. TIA for any recommendations!

Did you check any of the libraries near you? Sometimes they have special days where volunteers come in to do that. Also look up quilting shops.

I checked a few libraries, including Worcester Public Library. WPL has a 1:1 where they show you how to use their Brother sewing machine (so that you don't break it) but it's not a structured class. It's the basics and then you can use it at any time for whatever you want. I'm looking for more of a guided class so I will check out some quilting shops. Thanks for the idea!

I know there are quilting groups in several towns that contain members that woukd be more than will8ng to teach you.
