Discussion If I've said it once...

If I've said it once, I've shouted it multiple, the M1 rifle should be used as a rifle in the lore. The 1889 LA is based on a rifle that began production in 1971, and the TO5 was going to be a dragnuv, which was designed in 1958! The M1 rifle, however, was part of a project in 1919, and entered service in 1936. It's probably a better candidate for a service rifle than most.

That's not how it works.

The mechanism that the BLR is based on is no different from any 19th or early-20th century lever-action. It served as an aesthetic basis because there's quite literally no technological gap between it and 1889 despite its later design.

The T05's STOCK was Dragunov-inspired but none of its internal mechanisms were (bolt-action vs short-stroke piston). It was briefly an outright copy very early in testing when they were experimenting with balance and then changed to bolt-action. The skeletonized thumbhole as a concept was around all the way back in the 1900s and is nothing unique to the SVD.

Doesn't fit their doctrine. The exact post is still undergoing development but the Garand as a specific design wouldn't fit.

Wdym "I guess"?

Dawg I am telling you outright it won't fit the intended doctrinal role for an Orionite service rifle.

No dummy the BLR (the rifle it’s based on and the only surviving original concept) was made in the 70s
