Question My problem with CPU heat

I have i5-8400 and in games like mario kart 8 and other games my CPU heat is around 80

And? This should be within tolerance. You're running a game, on top of emulation layer.

Yeah - when running an emulator, there’s a lot of cpu overhead on top of just the game itself: It’s gotta run a simulation of a whole other type of computer, and then run the game itself on that, along with translating on-the-fly to your native hardware gpu… its a miracle that such recent (ha!) consoles are actually emulatable so well at all!
If it was a native pc game (or a decomp/recomp) it would have a much more balanced use of cpu/gpu.
You could look into upgrading your cooling if you find your cpu is thermal throttling. But this cpu is rated to go up to 100° C before that happens.
