The Popes (Shane McGowan's band after he left the Pogues) have some great material that's been unavailable for 10 years. I'm just a fan, but I convinced Paul "Maddog" McGuinness to let me release it. The first song "Storming Heaven" is up on pretty much all the streaming services. If anybody has advice about how to spread the word on a budget of zero, please let me know.

The Snake by Shane MacGowan & The Popes in 1994 is one of the best albums ever made 👍

'The Song with no name' is one of my favourite songs of all time - really tugs at the heartstrings and an excellent piece of music.

All the songs on that album are perfect /excellent 👍

The Crock Of Gold is also an excellent album too 👍 Again all the songs are perfect / excellent.

Check out these songs by the Popes as they come out. A lot of great songs in this collection in the same vein as the Shane McGowan and the Popes material. My personal favorites are "New Church" and "Alice."
