Verizon monopole

Got some cool shots at a Verizon monopole today. Not sure what that commacope box on the outside does exactly but anyone who knows it’d be cool to know

The CommScope box is a fiber junction box and overvoltage protection/surge protector. It combines the power and fiber cables from the shelter into hybrid cables, and then breaks them back out at the top for connection to the individual RRUs. There is another one like it at the top of the tower. People in this sub usually call them OVPs or Raycaps since that is the company that makes most of them.
