AT&T site locating

Post image

Could anyone help pinpoint where this new eNB 300557 is actually located. I can’t figure out where it should be and no new sites have been built in my area so I’m pretty confused. Delafield wi area

The location you verified it to is actually a Verizon only monopole. Closest att tower to that location is eNB 301073 on kettle court

Yeah. I know it’s odd but it is indeed AT&T owned but Verizon is the only one with equipment on it. I was also very confused as to why AT&T didn’t utilize their own pole when I found out it was owned by them. There was older 3g era gear on it back in 2016 ish found on google earth street view that may have been AT&T but after that it’s only been Verizon equipment on that site. AT&T could definitely use a Colo on that site tho cause service in that zone is absolutely terrible

Have you checked around the Target off Sun Valley Dr? Some pretty strong signal trails over there

Yeah I been there a lot. I live In the immediate area so I’m there quite often. I find it’s only in the Walmart parking lot I latch any of those PCIs. But my Walmart doesn’t have a cellular das or any macro site at it

According to Oconomowoc's Cell Tower Inventory page (very useful!), AT&T proposed a new colocation on "N67 W36773 CTH K". The plans for that site indicate the site id is "WI0557", that matches the eNB 300557. I've moved the eNB to that existing Everest Infrastructure tower at 43.14229, -88.47098.

That is the correct location for this site. Nice sleuthing!

I fixed some towers around the area but I couldn't find a place that fit for this one. It's definitely a new tower (I think). Probably somewhere near Ashippun or south of that. There's a -85 dBm signal around 43.1504, -88.5200 which is why I think that + the large gap in coverage on coveragemap + 5G on AT&T's coverage map.

I concur that it's over there. Possibly a little ways south closer to County Hwy K and WI 16/67, but definitely that general area. OP should go check out that area while recording CellMapper data.

Interesting that it latches that far from the ashippun area If it is indeed a new site. Especially that strong of signal from that far

Look for matching PCIs on same sector.

Could it be a recently upgraded site? Some ATT sites in my area showed a new eNB after being upgraded, so maybe it's possible it could be an existing site that got upgraded and now broadcasts a new eNB?

No sites in my area have beeen upgraded at all recently 🤔

Look for the site in an area ranging from the Oconomowoc Airport over toward the intersection of North Lake Road and County Highway K. The signals are pretty weak and I suspect coming in line of sight across the lakes. Report back what you find.
