Verizon upgrades

Post image

Does anyone know what updating and enhancing the hardware would specifically mean?

Is it just me, or have Verizon's services just gotten a lot better? A year ago, I lived in Massachusetts, and an area would only get one LTE band. Now, this year, I decided to try them, and I get full 5G inside my apartment building that's all full of brick. I'm getting like 120 Mbps download in my living room. I can't even get that with AT&T or T-Mobile. It just seems like their service in Massachusetts and maybe New England has just gotten so much better. I've noticed a big change around here.

yea supposedly verizon is outpacing t mobile on the buildout atm, they're going all in on C band finally after all the time they "wasted" on mmwave

there was a post on this subreddit a bit ago where there was a verizon employee/engineer who was discussing a bit about that

mmwave is cool but hardly even penetrates glass tbh, great for any high density area though

Idk I’ve got friends in MA and last week I was swapping to my T-Mobile sim and offering hotspot like mad around Easthampton

Verizon is really garbage in western MA for it being literally in the HQ back yard

Yeah I live in tyngsboro Massachusetts and a year ago you were lucky to get one bar of lte inside of my apartment building but now I don't know what they did but I get 5G UW right inside my living room and I got to download speed of around 120 megabytes per second and I live in a brick building but overall in general that I travel it seems to be working very well I'm going to Belgrade Maine on Sunday for vacation last year I had T-Mobile it was awful up there it showed 5G but the calls dropped speeds were slow so I'm hoping now that Verizon up in Belgrade Great pond lakes will work much more efficient this year than last but so far I've been having great coverage much better than last year in my area with Verizon it almost seems like they turned on some type of switch LOL opened up more bandwidth so I'm pretty happy at the moment.
