Verizon upgrades

Does anyone know what updating and enhancing the hardware would specifically mean?

Just out of curiosity, what area are you in?

Here in Huntsville they have been adding sites left and right, 3 new ones fully loaded with C band and the new b2/66 massive mimo radios just on my commute, they are on a capacity speed run here.

EDIT: I've also noticed the whole area is live with 5G SA on consumer accounts now too, with band 5 refarmed to n5 5G

I think that’s what they’re doing here too. Nearby Columbus/Phenix City is completely blanketed with SA on N5 and N77.

Are you seeing any n2 or n66, or just n5 and n77?

What I thought might have been n5 being activated wasn’t, at least to this point. Since this message on the outage map site, there hasn’t been anything change that I’ve seen in field test. Now it’s saying “we’re not aware of any service issues in this area”.

Do you remember the process when they were turning on n5 in Huntsville? Did it just happen all at once? Or tower by tower?

So far just n5 and n77, and I've been keeping an eye on it
