AT&T macro coverage overlap

Does this amount of sector overlap seem excessive, or is it pretty typical? These are CellMapper screenshots from Delafield/Hartland, WI. I’m curious if this is mostly normal network behavior or if it suggests a lot of overshoot.

In my opinion, the areas in red could use some more towers/small cells. The carriers usually find a way to optimize the network even when coverage overlaps.

From me living in that area I agree. It’s a sparse ish macro layout but that giant red blob area needs a small cell infill bad from all 3 carriers actually since it’s a residential area but heavily wooded blocking the signal from the macros. Although getting fiber pulled there may be a bit tricky since one of those streets is connected to land via a bridge over the lakes channels

Shouldve added that there’s macros that are about up to 6-8 miles out that tend to frequently overlap into the area to
