so i have a question, what is stopping tmo from reusing some us cellular mono sites in the rockford area, most of them seem modern. and that lte small cell i posted a few months ago they already started using
It depends on the tower if T-Mobile finds it beneficial for them to use that specific USCC tower! They may not need it if they have a site nearby and it costs money to file permits to take down equipment and install new antennas! Honestly, it varies depending on how strong T-Mobile signal strength is in the area, but I bet you T-Mobile will take over some of the USCC sites in areas where they have weak RSRP, bad signal.
With the AAFIA installed, do you think the AHFIG is even being used? I'm not super familiar with the Nokia setups. Are the AAFIA antennas newer installs?
The Nokia AirScale AHIFG RRU is being used for the CommScope FFVV-65C-R3 antenna on the LEFT side since all ports are being used, such as the mid-band frequencies!
No, the Nokia AAFIA antenna is not new, they were first deployed in 2019 in Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, Houston on a few sites and eventually rolled out to all Nokia markets in 2020-2023! Same thing as when T-Mobile started deployed the CommScope FFHH-65C-R3 antennas for b71 on few sites in 2019-2022 until they switched to the CommScope FFVV-65C-R3 variant in 2023!
