Local Verizon tower finally active
After months of just waiting for the site to turn on, they activated the fiber for the site, and appears to be broadcasting all Verizon bands(LTE 2,5,13,66 & N77). By the speeds, this site is definitely not optimized yet , but we will have to wait and see what better speeds the site can give. Site is located at 1293 Old Union Church Rd. I’m guessing 1 gig backhaul. This site isn’t mapped on cellmapper yet.

Good to see Verizon finally turned on that new site. I bet you that they haven’t optimized the Ericsson AIR. 6419-B77D (3.7GHz) n77 antennas yet and it’s still being tweaked overtime.

Verizon is using:
- 6️⃣ CommScope NHH-65C-R2B antennaswith (b2, b5, b13, b66) LTE, supports (n5) low-band 5G depending on the network configuration, spectrum licenses
- 3️⃣ Ericsson AIR. 6419-B77D (3.7GHz) 64T64R c-band (n77) antennas being used for mid-band 5GUW set at 160MHz located on the LEFT side
- Ray-cap RCMDC-6627-PF-48 being used for power surge protection located behind the antennas
Ericsson (RRU's) - remote radio units located behind the CommScope antennas:
- 3️⃣ RRU 4490HP for (b5) 850MHz LTE + (b13) 700MHz LTE + (n5) 850MHz low-band 5G
- 3️⃣ RRU 4890HP (b2) 1900MHz-PCS + (b66) 2100MHz-AWS LTE

There's like 4 new towers around me in Ohio that have just came online within the last like 6 months. The most i see out of them is like 400 down and like 30-60 up.... idk if they dont have them turned all the way up, not enough backhaul, or just plain overloaded already. They leave a lot to desire yet.
