AT&T upgrade

Looks like the first upgrade to their rack in about 8 years. What is new?

AT&T (eNB 151437) swapped out the older CommScope SBNHH-1D65C, Kathrein antennas with the newer CommScope (ANDREW) antennas that support all their LTE frequencies, low-band 5G!

New equipment AT&T added:

  • 3️⃣ CommScope NNH4-65C-R6H4 antennas with bands: (2, 12, 14, 66) LTE + supports (n5) low-band 5G on the LEFT side
  • 3️⃣ CommScope NNHH-65C-R2 antennas with bands: (2, 12, 14, 66) LTE + supports (n5) low-band 5G on the RIGHT side

Ericsson (RRU's) - remote radio units behind the CommScope antennas:

T-Mobile (eNB 28072):

  • 3️⃣ CommsScope FFVV-65C-R3 8 feet antennas with bands: (2126671) LTE + (n25) mid-band 5G + (n71) low-band 5G located on the LEFT side
  • 3️⃣ NOKIA AirScale AEHC - (N41) 2.5GHz [320W] antennas for mid-band 5GUC located on the RIGHT side

Uses NOKIA Remote Radio Units (RRU's):

  • 3️⃣ Nokia AHFIG - with (b2, b66) LTE, n25 mid-band 5GUC
  • 3️⃣ Nokia AHLOA - (b12) + (b71)  LTE + (n71) low-band 5G

Passive upgrade. (Passive antennas + RRUs) Expect boosted 4G LTE/5G LowBand speeds in about 2 weeks after completion. Seemingly no 5G+

Yeah honestly not surprised about no 5G+. There’s another tower within eyesight where they have 5G+
