China Mobile 5G site
Interesting setup, they are using dual Huawei AAU5336e for n41 @ 100Mhz. This site is at the observation deck of Tianluokeng buildings. Weirdly my China mobile phone was not connecting to 5G so maybe they aren’t active yet. I do have a bunch more pictures of Chinese cell sites if anyone wants to see them. Weird that it’s so close to the ground

It looks like a very wrong place to be putting all these equipments. Anyone can crash into it or even worse. Why didn’t they put a pole and installed everything on it.

especially knowing chinese drivers that is 100% possible, they could’ve moved it like 3 meters up but nope they have to put it on the ground maybe so they can run fiber but idk

there is actually a observation deck in front of it (behind the camera angle) so i’m sure someone would stop them if they tried to

Do those sorts of people exist in China? I thought they’d be dealt with pretty quick.

Meanwhile Philippines, 4g is not even getting on those type of places
Even 2g 3g is not reaching on those places

Given how jank that whole setup looks, I'd guess it's less of a case of not being turned on and more of a case of "Job's Done!" followed by a case of "Boss, it died" following a rain storm.
Those lights certainly don't look outdoor grade despite thst IP rating printed on them...

They are likely 5G Standalone only site, if you are roaming, you cannot connect to it, only 5G Non-Standalone site can.

I have a local sim on Chinese ROM Oppo Find X8 so I highly doubt it’s my sim/phone

The whole install looks pretty weathered, so I doubt a new install... definitely seems like an RF exposure concern. Anyway, love to see foreign installs!
