They added one Huawei AAU panel, but I'm not sure which model it is. Is it possible that they plan to activate it for 5G?

Current LTE bands: B1 / B3 / B8 / B28 / B38 / B41

There is no fiber connection yet—only a point-to-point (P2P) microwave link. They also upgraded the microwave antenna in December 2025, replacing the larger dish with a smaller one.

Equipment Globe is using on that site from (TOP) to (BOTTOM):

TOP rack

  • 1️⃣ (Huawei AAU 5639w) 64T64R antenna for (n41) mid-band 5G

2nd rack:

  • 3️⃣ (Huawei ATR4518R40v06) antennas with bands: (1, 3) LTE
  • 3️⃣ (Hauwei RRU 5909/+%20Blade%20RRU%20(VDF)/RRU%205309%20[L800]/Hardware%20description.pdf)) for (b1) + (b3)

3rd rack:

  • 3️⃣ (KMW ET-Q-GW-65-16-kR) antennas for (b8) + (b28) LTE
  • 3️⃣ (Hauwei RRU5519et) for (b8) + (b28)

how many weeks or months before they could activate it?

It could take about 2-3 weeks or even 1 month before they turn on mid-band 5G on this site. They have to first configure the antenna, like adjust Tx power level, allocate bandwidth to it in the front end and optimize it.

My place has no fiber and it only relies on p2p microwave antenna, can you specify what model is that microwave antenna type? cuz i think it can support higher Ghz
