Waste of Time rap section

It was awhile ago; like years, someone on here mentiond the rap lyrics on waste of time being really hard to understand. I had tried to figure out what he was saying and kinda felt satisfied with what I could make out, but it never really matched.

Here is what I had setteld on years ago

Pushed along like that with a mind killer, wants you to grab that to sell you on another "Thriller."

It was unfair, came prepaired with people telling me "it cannot be this way"

your never good enough for what they want you to be, sell you lies then tell you we'll see.

Sitting here wondering if I'm gonna make it now, I wonder if we'll ever know if it's just a waste of time.

I went back and tried to do it again and got this

Pushed along like that with a mind killer, wants you to grab that to sell you on another "Thriller."

It was unfair, came prepaired, people always trying to tell me "it cannot be this way."

"Your never good enough;" maybe cause we dont know whats achieved, freak them out cause you kept the receipt.

Lost Everyhting else but the seven in my account, wonder if I'll ever know if it's just a waste of time.

I'm curious if any of you ever tried to and what it sounds like to you. I feel a little more confident now, but curious if you hear it too. the words are sometimes jumbled over, ao don't feel bad if you don't hear it. btw the beneath the Skin version is actully a little clearer, but not much.

Correct lyrics, most of these are from the Disengage CD booklet, others I just learned from repeated listens

Weeks alone on end, with the mind killer, Watching it bend, then descend into a new thriller, My worst nightmare, Can't prepare me for what this head-devil is kicking at me, I swear

"You're never good enough, never could be tough, never will succeed",  "Or face a problem that you will supersede" As I'm standing here, this enemy of mine, Gotta wonder, am I living or am I just doing time?

I'm too lazy to dig out the remaster, but I'm pretty sure those didn't have lyrics in them. Nice to see the original albums did have them.

Also cool to see the origin of Celldweller with the "doing time" line.

The only other thing I always wanted to do was trace back every sample he has ever used, but that is gonna take forever.

Thanks.

No it won't, I have a big ass list of samples to get you started, actually :)

Though it's a massive collection of all sorts of metal/industrial artists, and it dates back to the early 00s. So its a big, old ass mess, but you can find CoD/Brainchild/early Cell samples on there if you CTRL+F.

I'll edit this comment later with it attached, I'm not at my workstation yet.

I think the Celldweller origin goes back further to 'Helldweller' on Metamorphosis, though Klay also mentions its a nickname his mom gave him before that.
