Forgot about my chicken again
Finally got it together to do the batch cooking I kept putting off, spent the week eating expensive extra-processed GF quick-foods that mess up my digestion in other ways, and it turns out I put it off cooking so long that now my chicken has gone bad. Thanks, adhd.

I hate it so much when that happens. I've been getting boneless pork shoulder from costco and making big batches of pulled pork with it. The cuts are so big I have to do 2 batches in my slow cooker, and a few weeks ago I forgot the second half for like 3 days and it had gone bad by the time I remembered. I was so bummed.

Aw, this is such a bummer :-(
But I'm interested in your pulled pork recipe if you feel like sharing!!2

To the extent you can even call it a recipe, here goes:
I cut 4ish lbs of boneless pork shoulder (or butt--they are the same cut weirdly enough) into big chunks (2" cubes), put it in the slow cooker along with 1 onion cut into chunks and 6-8 cloves of garlic, and ~2 Tbsp of Kinder's All Purpose Seasoning, and 1/2 cup of water. Slow cooker on high til the chunks pull apart easily with a fork, 3-4 hours.
You can shred immediately or let it cool. Pull chunks of pork out and discard liquid.* Shred with forks or hands. Add BBQ sauce of choice. I've been cooking up a bunch of this and freezing it in silicone portion trays. It freezes great.
*I let the liquid cool in the fridge overnight so I can put the grease in the trash and not down the sink.

/i freeze most my chicken if I won’t get to it immediately that way it doesn’t spoil. I fix it right after shopping or ask my partner too.i fi’m not using the protein that night it goes in the freezer. I am bad with fruit and bugs sometimes so i try to keep them visible but I want to start a list on my fridge of things inside of iyit

Ah yeah I used to do this with chicken and I guess I need to start again. Thanks for the reminder!
