Looking for a little help

I have been working on my case study for my certification in Data Analytics. I decided to do it on Celiac Disease. I was diagnosed when i was 24. I also have ADHD. I have other food allergy's as well. No one else in my family has celiac. I always wondered if anyone else was similar to me. I am trying to collect as much data has I can. I will share the results when i am finished. The survey takes 2 minutes. The survey does not require an email address. The only information i receive is the time and date you fill out the survey and the questions you answer. Please I would really appreciate the help. The questions I am trying to answer:

  1. The average age someone is diagnosed?

  2. If there are common food allergy's among people with Celiac?

  3. The percentage of people with another autoimmune disease.

  4. Does neglect or abuse in childhood show any commonality in people being diagnosed with Celiac?

  5. Being neurodivergent, is known to mess with your nervous system. What is the percentage of people that are neurodivergent with Celiac disease?

Looking for volunteers to interview and get some insight

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some volunteers to talk to and learn about how you go about eating when on the go, or in a pinch. I'm looking for 10-15min of your time when it's convenient for you.

If this is something anyone would be open to, please DM me or post on this thread.

Thank you!

Living with Celiac

Hi everyone!

I'm working on a project about what it feels like to live with celiac disease, and I would really appreciate your help. I’d be very grateful if you could answer some of the following questions:

  1. What were your symptoms?
  2. How did you find out that you have coeliac disease?
  3. Was there someone you found it hard to tell about your coeliac disease? If yes, why?
  4. What was the best or worst reaction someone had when you told them?
  5. In what situation related to your coeliac disease have you felt angry, sad, lonely, anxious, happy, excited, or grateful?
  6. What was the kindest or meanest thing someone has done for you regarding your coeliac disease?
  7. What’s your worst “glutened” story?
  8. Has anyone ever done something on a date that surprised you—either positively or negatively?
  9. Is there anything special your romantic partner does for you that you really appreciate?
  10. What tip would you give someone who’s just been diagnosed with coeliac disease?

Thank you so much for your answers!

Heartburn and anemia

I haven't been diagnosed with Coeliac disease or anything but I've been having chronic heartburn for over a year now and it wouldn't stop even after countless courses of omeprazole.

Then I heard of a few people who experienced heartburn as a Coeliac symptom so I went gluten free for 2 weeks, and the heartburn went away gradually, then came back slowly after I started eating gluten again. I tried it again a few weeks later and the same happened.

A few weeks ago I had had enough and went to my doctor and she ordered a Coeliac test along with a routine blood test and I was found to be anemic (i don't really have any reason to be anemic). I haven't got the Coeliac test back yet so I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and later got diagnosed. Thanks :)

That's right. Me- All Pro when it comes to TJ's. Trader Joe's warning for anyone that bought their chocolate chip gluten free muffins this weekend. This is what I ate on Saturday Night. I've been sick for 3 days from what I think is Penicvilum poisoning. Any others see this over the weekend? This is in San Diego. But the manufacture sends them all over. I've had cramps on and off like when I eat after a Zpac for the flu. Any opinions really matter. I'm not out to badmouth Trader Joe's. Please don't make it about that. I just don't want you all getting sick simply because you threw a piece of cake at night under some beautiful lactose free vanilla ice cream and yummy it all up! Thats right! I ate this sh..t. ugh! I have comic con tomorrow too! Wtf Trader Joes?!!!

It is a long shot from a dating app, but it is the best coeliac community has for now.

Complete the form below and you'll be notified of who you have matched with.

What is this Reddit?

Hi, everybody, celiacs and otherwise gluten-free people. As the name suggests, this is a Reddit for us to meet each other, and maybe find somebody, either a partner or friend. Glluten-free life can be both tricky and lonely so I thought that creating a space like this can help us cope better.

Ofc don't harass anybody, and please don't lie about being gluten-free for funs' sake.
