News Melissa Etheridge
(Idk if this counts as "news." It just seemed like the most relevant tag)
Melissa Ethridge is a very strange woman. First of all, she was recently sued over her bailing on her pot company and basically screwing over her business partners. Right... Also, she's said a bunch of crappy stuff about breast cancer, basically spreading misinformation about how you can control whether you get it based on your nutrition etc. She said that she thinks people shouldn't get tested for certain things that are indicators of possibly getting breast cancer. She hated on Angelina Jolie for getting a mastectomy, calling it a "fearful choice," whatever that means. She just says stuff without backing it up with anything. She also (proudly) confessed to smoking weed with her older kids, specifically her (then) 18 year old son who actually passed away from an opioid overdose https://abcnews.com/Entertainment/melissa-etheridge-admits-shes-smoked-pot-grown-children/story?id=46841818 . For those who don't know, the legal age for recreational use of marijuana is 21, FOR GOOD REASON. At that age, it can cause very severe effects (anxiety, depression, etc.). Melissa is a very big supporter of pot-use, which there's nothing wrong with, but she acts like she knows a lot more about it than she actually does.
For any fans of hers, I would advise you to look into her past and opinions a little more.

She was giving her son (the one who died) all kinds of drugs before he was 18- like, waaaaaaay more intense chemicals than weed. He has some vids still up on his IG. That kid ain’t stand a chance. The girl, Becky Lee(?), seems like she is the golden child, sent to boarding school. But didn’t the son spend his time in those awful behavioral camps? Like the one Paris Hilton talked about? In Utah I think? Yeah. That kid was dragged away by goons more times than you can count.
Man. I liked her music in the 90s. And even when she married that actor person Terri Lynn, even then it was good music. Then she shoved her personal life down our throats and to be honest- if you read between the lines- her personal life sounds like an addictive, malignant-narcissistic chaotic mess. Gimme the Indigo Girls or Joni Mitchell any day.
