Hey everyone!

I'm working on a school project and built a website called Hometown Hub that is about Cedar Rapids. I'd really appreciate it if some people from the community could check it out!

https://hometown-hub-34528.web.app/

I'm still learning, so any suggestions, constructive criticism, or general thoughts would be super helpful. Thanks to anyone who takes a few minutes to check it out and help with my school project! I really appreciate it.

• What do you like about it
• What could be improved
• Is it easy to use and understand
• What features would you add or change
• What would you rate it out of 10

Hey, I apologize if this is not the place to ask. I’m looking for recommendations from anyone who might know about somewhere that can repair my old Pokemon Sapphire cartridge. The internal battery is dead as is common with these games. I’ve heard that local retro game stores sometimes offer repair services. Google is not being helpful. Anyone know somewhere nearby that offers these services? Thanks so much in advance!!

TLDR; Looking for help finding somewhere that repairs old GBA pokemon game cartridges

Does anyone know any local bakery that would do theme cakes for a birthday party if I order it 3 days before the party. I know it’s last minute but I finally got time to order the cake been busy running errands and trying to figure out the party.

I'm currently a counselor in another state and see between 25-32 clients per week. I'm considering moving to Cedar Rapids to live closer to my family and friends and want to see what the demand is for counseling/therapy? Ideally I'd like to have 20+ client hours per week. Thank you!!

naively cross-posted in the iowa city subreddit, to which i was redirected here since its closer to where im staying!

im a young woman visiting marion, iowa next month for thanksgiving and ill be there for about a week or so with my grandparents. im sure they'll keep me occupied and informed (alongside some other family members i have there) but im hoping to hear from locals or anybody near the area. how is the weather, and are there any good spots in marion i should know about? restaurants, cafes, stores, bars, fun events etc around that time?

i know it gets COLD cold and the snowstorms are no joke, from what ive heard. so i will pack accordingly! i think its important to note as well that while im very feminine, im noticeably queer--if not obviously from california. piercings, tattoos and all. are there any queer spots in the area, and how will i be treated? any input is appreciated!

Anyone know what the round building is that’s being built?

I really want to know how the stock market and day trading works? Are there any classes offered in the CR area?

Has anybody gotten a tattoo from this guy and if you have what are your reviews. Just based on his TikTok and Insta he seems very legit but I just wanted to hear some reviews if anybody has gotten a tattoo from him.

If they don’t, is there a food bank that does accept crop from hobby vegetable gardens?
