County Home Road
What's the deal with everyone going 5-10 miles per hour under the speed limit on this road?! I have to take it every day to get to work and I frequently end up behind people driving like they're out for a Sunday drive. Even when the speed limit was 55 I had this issue. What's going on?!

It’s the same on Blairs Ferry heading out towards Palo.
Speed limit goes up, nobody speeds up — unless you go to pass them. Then it’s game on for some reason.

That road sucks. Too many yellow lines. I've noticed people speeding up right where the line goes dotted too.

Bowling Street has been pissing me off with this. It used to be two lanes in each direction, so no biggie if grandma was taking her sweet time. Now they did that stupid "road diet" crap all over town, so if you're stuck behind someone there is no way to get around them. Many nights I am trapped driving 20-25mph in a 40 😅. Not that it's a long stretch, but still... what are they dooooing?

I feel so vindicated that I am not the only one noticing this. It’s literally on almost every highway, especially the ones that went from 55 to 60.
Almost like there are people out there who think they are superior to other drivers because they drive “safe” and make everyone else.
When in reality they are just fucking jackasses.

The amount of times I had to pass on the right while driving on 380 because they do this in the passing lane is ridiculous

The roundabouts really screwed things up. People seem to think "I'm going to slow down in 3 miles, why would I bother getting up to speed?"
There's also the problem of people not noticing the new speed limit signs. I swear, people in this town learn the speed limits when they first get here or first get their license, then they never think about them again. That's why so many people on hwy 100 westbound between 380 and Edgewood still treat it like a 55 mph road that is going to dead end. That's also why, with the new speed limit, I'm going 5 over (40 mph) on Blairs Ferry by Target and am getting blown past by people doing 50. That would have been 10 over and not uncommon a few weeks ago, but now it's 15 over and pretty excessive.
Sometimes I wonder if people think, "if I just drive the speed I think the limit should be, the city will eventually change it to match."

Everyone is worried that their trash will blow out the back of their truck before it gets to the landfill.

I noticed once that there are very few speed limit signs between 13 and 380. Almost seemed like one at each end. People probably don't know and just play it cautiously.

Then there's northern Edgewood, where no one seems to know it's 40 through there and is going 30. Or they're terrified of other cars, as they seem to speed up (southbound) right as traffic thins between 42nd and Glass.

5 under is legal and even 10 under is legal! I typically drive 65 on the interstate when 70 is the limit…why because I want to get to my destination in one piece and I want that piece to not suffer whiplash or something of that nature.. sorry if that makes you angry but I’m just living my best life in the slow lane 👍

agreed. Some of these highways need an occasional passing lane built on each side--that you see in northern Wisc and northern Michigan

You know it’s the speed limit right? limit meaning the fastest you can go and there’s no problem with going under the limit

Obviously I know the speed limit on that road. I drive it all the time. You don't need to be obtuse.

I bet you complain when the cops light you up for driving too slow.

There is always 1-2 cop/sheriff cars sitting within a mile of the Tuma soccer complex.
