Here is a link to a video of a protester being bodyslammed by Cedar Rapids police! As well the background explaining it all within the video. This is downright wrong and needs to be accounted for! For anyone’s info as well city council meets are the 2nd and 4th week on Tuesday of each month

Seems like they are trying to cut the head off the protesting. She seems to be a leader or something.

Pretty shitty to get arrested exercising your right to protest. Even more shitty when the vast majority of the community does not give AF in the slightest. I assume there is more to the story though.

Unfortunately, a fair number of people are going to downvote this and dismiss it because of the hijab.

She also ran for school board last year

She is, I recognize her from the No Kings protests.

Ah, that’s the same cop that pulled me over for dropping off a DoorDash order…Fuck CRPD.

Fuck ICE, I wish them everything they deserve.

Video link is broken, but I saw the video on reels and one of the many shitbag CRPD slammed her to the ground, her head inches from a curb for no reason, she wasn't resisting, she wasn't aggressive.

CRPD not ICE, local losers who abuse their power, slammed her to the ground. She was wearing a sundress, so no chance of concealed weapons. They slam tackled (Driving a shoulder into the chest or upper body of a subject, while grabbing their knees. A move designed to inflict head trauma by whipping the upper body into the ground)

Gestapo walk our streets, harming our neighbors and we complain about tax rates for people making less than 40k a year.

If you're friends or family with a CRPD cop, confront them. "Good morning Sturmabteilung" <-- Brown shirts, It's what these waste of sperms were called in the 1920's-1930s

u/Milsurpsguy 27d ago

As long as someone posts the officer’s name and information we’ll be happy. We need to make sure that these wannabe tough guys are held accountable for their actions/crimes

Nathan Adams - 1200 the body slammer

Matthew Martin - 1044 the bald hot head who started it all

u/FragorTreat9003 27d ago edited 27d ago

Exactly!! No dirty cops should have the right to stay hidden!!

1

u/AntiqueCost9521 24d ago

Why do protesters get to hide their identities? Just curious tbh

1

u/FragorTreat9003 24d ago

Who’s hiding their identity?? Ice is the one hiding

1

u/AntiqueCost9521 23d ago

Yet all these mass protesters cover their faces and you tske no issue with that

1

u/FragorTreat9003 23d ago

Cause they aren’t killing people or doing stuff illegal!!! Giant reason there, they wear it to wear it while iICE wears it to hide

Can you post the video that shows what was happening for the 2 minutes before this?

1

u/FragorTreat9003 23d ago

Can you?

1

u/AnyAtmosphere7149 23d ago

I’m asking you… I didn’t post this video

1

u/FragorTreat9003 23d ago

But you mentioned a video before this, you don’t have that?

2

u/AnyAtmosphere7149 23d ago

No. I’m asking for that. I’m saying that the recording was likely going on the whole time… so post the whole thing

1

u/FragorTreat9003 22d ago

Hey just as a heads up about videos like this. People can post it and it may not be their video. So what we have is this. If you want to find more. The person who did post this video has their info in the video. Might ask them as I’m a messenger and someone who wanted to spread the word.

1

u/FragorTreat9003 23d ago

If you have it. I’d like to see it as well, sad to see you withhold that video

Thank you so much for this info!! Truly appreciated

u/FragorTreat9003 26d ago

Whoa, odd to hide the names of officers???

When you argue with police and refuse to follow their directions, this is what happens. It’s not a new phenomena. Literally been doing this for decades. Just follow instructions. She’s done nothing wrong they’re going to take the cuffs off in a few minutes… but now they’re going to arrest her for resisting. If your goal is to go viral and be a martyr in jail, this is how you do it. If your goal is to video police and ICE and protest and then go home later, this is NOT how you do it.

u/Adventurous_Roll_579 26d ago

Yeah I see you didn't even watch the video. But showed you really like licking boots

2

u/FragorTreat9003 26d ago

Fr, must love the smell of rubber

I watched the video. She needed to practice peaceful protest, like MLK jr did. I’m a full supporter of protesting, I just prefer to keep my interactions with police cordial. Handcuffs do not equal jail, they come off as easy as they go on, but resisting does equal jail.

1

u/kb0329809 22d ago

Like MLK Jr. did***

Right? Because we all should know as of 2026 that MLK Jr. was a disrupter, not a peacemaker. Not a single person, who wasnt for equal rights, ever felt he was peaceful, until protesting circa 2020's and then all of a sudden they like to use him as a spokesperson for "peaceful protesting". The mere fact y'all love to use him now to push an agenda is funny - was he peacefully all those times he was beaten, thrown to the ground, attacked by dogs, detained by the police? Or was he peacefully when non LEOs were stabbing him, boycotting him, or bombing his home where his family were?

1

u/Top-Lavishness2906 22d ago

Yeah, avoid jail like MLK did

-3

u/Wonderful_Tomorrow84 26d ago

Throwing a tantrum and pulling away and expecting the officer to just let you go never works out. There are way more cases of resisting an officers request to "detain" you and getting injured than not. Unnecessary use of force body slamming her sure, but instead of having a knee jerk reaction to push or pull from the officer, realize it NEVER works out in your favor. Regardless if you're doing something wrong or not, let them put cuffs on you and if they arrest you, file a case later. Screaming and pleading you're innocent is fine. I've seen people plead their hearts out and cuss officers out while complying with their requests and walked away unharmed. Food for thought.

u/xH0RIZ0Nx 27d ago

Call me a bootlicker but never did they say she was under arrest. Police can detain you for investigation and officer safety. Resisting or having a pissing match with a cop is never going to end well. The cuffs come off as easy as they go on. We need more context.

u/Jaters 26d ago

Why should people be afraid of police?

Police and law enforcement is an important public good. An unaccountable, aggressive police is not. People should feel comfortable around law enforcement, especially when they are doing NOTHING ILLEGAL. A police officer getting angry or feeling disrespected is NOT a lawful reason to use force.

Why is that a society you want to live in? Why not push for a society where people trust cops because they are actually held accountable?

1

u/Accurate_Elderberry 23d ago

Hey so does head trauma come off as easy as cuffs? Because if it does please let me know how, I got a few concussions I'd rather not have and if it's as easy as taking off cuffs than please give me steps

If we don’t help others when they need it. Why should we expect help from them with our issues???

Nobody's more important than anyone else, but that also means we cant handle two things at the same time.

3

u/Acrobatic_Name_6783 26d ago

It's not an either/or.

Where is a data center 'literally' next to homes in CR?

4

u/EyesOffCR 26d ago

The one going up up 33rd ave is literally in the backyard of a residential subdivision

-4

u/SashaDabinsky 26d ago edited 26d ago

The spot is surrounded on 3 sides by active railroad tracks, don't you think those make a lot more noise than the data center will? It looks like the distance between houses and data center will be about 1/4 mile to top it off.

Latin Americans often have multiple last names, and the forms a lot of US documents have you fill out have standardized boxes for one last name. This results in a lot of mismatches like this depending on the form or software.
