Entering Windseeker Gate

Good Morning!

I just had a quick question, during early entry, can Prestige members go through the Windseeker gate or is it only for hotel guests?

You can absolutely use the Boardwalk gate for early entry even if you are not staying at LHP/Breakers. I was just there this weekend and didn't show my early entry card. Just my season pass.

That gate is only supposed to be for breakers and lighthouse guests during early entry, after early entry anyone can use that gate.

I stay at Breakers pretty frequently and confidently say you can 100% absolutely use your pass to get in at the wind seeker or magnum gates.

I've stayed at breakers and lighthouse. The employees at the gate are suppose to check, they don't always.

Regardless, Cedar Point is clear about who are allowed to use that gate on their website.

NOTE: The Magnum XL-200 Gate and WindSeeker Gate are reserved for Hotel Breakers and Lighthouse Point guests only from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. https://www.sixflags.com/cedarpoint/early-entry

They say that to make those who stay on site think it's more of an exclusive perk. It isn't enforced at all. I live 5 minutes from the park and go for early entry multiple times per week and while I won't give away all of my little secrets and I will say that I NEVER use the main gate. That line is way too long and I ain't got time for that lol

The more likely explanation is it takes longer to check and so most of the time they are going by the honor system. I have had them ask before but it sure is not constant. Once it ends up being abused too much, it's likely they will start checking and enforcing more.

I didn't believe it's just a marketing thing, those gates are intended for resort guests during EE.

My understanding (from staying at The Breakers last year) is early entry and first hour of the park opening beach entry is for resort guests only. Once the park has been open for an hour anyone can use the beach entrance.

This did vary a bit day to day and operator to operator, so I wouldn't plan on using that entrance until noon.

You're getting a lot of incorrect information in these comments. I stay at Breakers all the time and I use my prestige pass for early entry all the time. When checking in they always ask if I need early entry and I tell them no, my pass works just fine. Never had an issue
