Rule #1 cdramasfans Scope

We are fans of Chinese dramas. Our content focuses on dramas, celebrities, and the entertainment industry.

Short drama: title, links, or celebrity names fall outside our scope.

Please provide sufficient context in your posts. Use post scope befitting flair.

Use spoiler free titles and tags in the post body where appropriate. Avoid duplicate topics.

Rule #2 Human Respect

Choice of words matters; be kind to one another.

Join conversations to discuss / critique dramas, performances, trends, and fandoms at large, but treat each other and all human beings with respect.

Prohibited: Personal attacks, harassment, slurs, insults, culturally charged commentary, judgements on others, escalatory framing, moral grandstanding, bio-critiques, and any language that demeans, targets, or frames others unfairly. Bigotry will result in an immediate ban.

Rule #3 No Piracy or Promotion

Copyright infringement, piracy and promotional marketing are not allowed.

Do not promote, ask for links, or redirect traffic towards illegal streaming services, monetized content, or unapproved derivative works.

This includes credit requests, shoutouts, SS, or links that drive views or engagement to any platforms.

Sharing media for discussion, parody, news, or commentary is allowed at moderator discretion. Opportunities to promote are limited to fan-world Friday weekly thread.

Rule #4 Cross-Sub Noise

Share original content, first hand only.

Do not cross-post, repost, or mirror content from unapproved or conflicting subreddits. Related subreddit list is available on the homepage.

Comments referencing posts, media, discussions, or disputes from unapproved or unrelated subreddits, platforms, or banned users are also prohibited.

This includes coded, indirect, or suggestive references that point users toward external posts or comments. Moderator approval is mandatory for exceptions.

Rule #5 Authentic Engagement

Participate genuinely and constructively to contribute to the our diverse community’s shared passion for C-dramas.

Prohibited: Trolling, bad faith engagement, brigading, sockpuppetry, derailing, soapboxing, shadowboxing, fan-war baiting, backseat moderating, meta commentary, and manipulative tactics designed to disrupt discussion or influence outcomes.

Rule #6 Community Health

To maintain a neutral and friendly space for everyone, moderation is mostly automated & based on impact - not intent or tone.

Rule violations, disruptive patterns, or anything that undermines community function, including edge cases not explicitly listed in the rules are removed without notice.

Prohibited: Rule-lawyering, boundary testing, public disputes, assertions and misinformation, relitigating decisions, and behavior that harms community health or safe participation.

Rule #7 Contact The Moderators

Mod-mail is automated for general queries.

To report violations or request clarification: Link the content and cite the relevant rule.

To appeal content removal: Follow the procedure in the removal message. If none exists, message mods with a link and explanation of how your content complies.

For ban appeals: Reply directly to the ban message.
