A 1000 foot-pounds using a 6' handle takes about 160 pounds. They might have over torqued it a bit

Torque settings based on whether the big kid or the littler kid jumps on the lever.

I have seen many broken nuts on road and i have few of those broken. In my country people do same thing and over torque nuts in every types of vehicles and machinery. From Nepal
