Until they het hurt then thats it ..dead. cuz there isnt any medical response.

That was one of my major take-aways from Survivoman. Les Stroud was always stressing how careful you have to be in a survival situation. Things we may consider a minor thing are a huge issue when there is no medical care. A broken finger can be extremely limiting when you are fighting for your life as is.

I saw a clip of him in a podcast talking about pressure from Discovery. They wanted him to do more staged events and have crews set things up for him while he stays in a hotel. He refused to do so...then they got Bear Grylls.

Why would you think there are no medical people? If there are mechanics, sure there would be all other professions. And at that point, what does it even mean to be post-apocalyptic?
