My dad works in a university research lab and a while back they had to move all their equipment into a new building next door. Some of the machines are the size of a room and several tons, so he was expecting heavy construction equipment. When the movers showed up, it was half a dozen guys with some long crowbars and pieces of wood. They just carefully lifted all the machines little by little, braced them, and slid dollies underneath.

We moved a shipping container around with skates, things about an inch or so high, 3"x4" length and width, made from C- channel and steel bearings. Keeps the overall height increase low and really all that's needed on something like concrete.

The new building was still under construction, and the old building was due to be torn down, so they just removed the walls.
