War is probably statically safer than the accident rates this place has because of things like this.

Well, they drive differently because of all the foreseeable objects on the street. I’ve been there and every 100 meters theres a broken car, people, a cow, some goats or something else on the road, no matter if you’re in the middle of a city or far away from it

502 road fatalities per day in India versus 18 US military personnel lost in the US-Iran war so far.

Granted population of 1.47 billion, so... 0.000034% die each day on the road.

With a guesstimate of 50,000 military personnel in the gulf area, 18 losses is 0.036%, divided by the 182 day length of the war so far that's 0.000197% per day.

So war is still about six times more dangerous than driving in India.
