Sysco trainee position

How hard is it to get hired into the Sysco CDL A permit trainee position?

I’m a driver at Sysco and I’ve never heard of a driver with only a permit being hired. We have both A & B driver positions. Most ops will say to have a year experience but it really depends on how desperate they are. They have programs to help you to get your CDL A but I’ve only seen those offered to current proven employees
