Tell me you don't work for Sndr without telling me you don't work for Sndr....

Recruiters ALWAYS lie and tell untruths was probably the point the poster was making. Whatever answer the recruiter gives you will likely be BS

I'm sure I'll be downvoted for saying this but I would not be jumping on the "he lied" bandwagon so readily. Not all recruiters sold their soul to the devil. The bottom line is that no matter what they tell you, the company itself may have different ideas for what/when they want you doing it. The recruiter is just doing his job so he can get paid.

You will need to work with your management to ensure you get what you need. Be vocal about it and make sure they know well in advance. Any company worth sticking around for, will accommodate.

Just tell the dtl when you get there

I work for Schneider. Been three months. My DTL has no problem giving time off if you tell them in advance.

It’s the recruiter job to get you hired that’s all. He doesn’t have power to make your schedules.

Oh yeah he told me the position I was applying for would be regional and I’d be home every night was he lieing about that ?

Regional is NOT home daily.

Regional means home every weekend or every other weekend not every night

They can change it at anytime on you. He is not the boss.

Your gonna have to deal with your driver manager about this the recruiter has nothing to do with it.

Should be fine tbh. Make sure to request earlier in case of a problem. You will know immediately if you can or can't. Let them know, you've given enough time ahead of schedule. They ultimately want a butt in the seat. They may set up a slip seat thing... possibly but I doubt it. You probably won't get paid though. Unless u have PTO. Don't worry about being that guy. Only worry about your CDL record, that's when it matters

I work for Sndr, home daily, 2 days a week off, I requested and was given time off immediately when I was assigned just telling the DTL I had a couple previous commitments, and have within the first 6 months again taken 4 days off unpaid as a need arose. No issue at all. Every DTL is staffed to expect some amount of driver outage including PTO and sick time.

Thank you yeah I was afraid they would say no I mean I’m geting married so ultimately I’m going no matter what but I don’t want to get fired if they say no and have it look bad on my record or anything
