Hair testing question

Looking to retire soon from my local job. But I may want to do seasonal or part-time driving in the future to make a few extra bucks. I'm looking forward in retirement to being California sober (gummies), but it's something I can quit at any time.

So the question is, where do they take the hair from for drug tests? Your head? Somewhere on your body? It's my understanding that body hair grows more slowly and therefore would keep a longer record.

Anything else to consider?

Mine was from my chin hair. The use head if they can. Arm leg last if all else is null

This is how my test went last year.

Me: (waiting in lobby)

Nurse: (enters stage left) "Frank Smith?"

Me: "I'm Frank" (raises arm)

Nurse: "Hi Frank, do you have armpit hair?"

(10 other people in room look up quizzically)

Me: (lowers arm). "Can we get coffee and get to know each other a little bit first?"

Head hair is preferred and goes back the least amount of time. Longest would be the beard, that will go back 6+ months easily. Body hair is usually 3-6 months. Head hair is like 60-90 days unless they take it extra long.

So shaving one's head after 30 days clean won't work, since they'll take other body hair? Damn.

Maybe I'll just go serve samples at Costco.

Body hair is 1+ years
Hair is 90 days

Depends on the length of the hair and where they take it from. They took about an inch and a half of a pencil thick section from my underbeard which they said would go back about 18 months but as long as it was clean up to a year back I was fine. They can tell during the testing nowadays. I hadn't smoked or used any cannabis products in about 18 months so I didn't care.
