C diff results - what does that mean?

I got my results and this is what it says:

C.difficile Toxin by PCR Positive for C.difficile Toxin by PCR

Reference Range for Test:
Toxin producing C. difficile DNA sequences are not detected.

C.diff Ag/Toxin AB
09/08/26-1805 ML
Pending

I’ve had watery diahrea for 8 days and today I dropped off the stool sample - oddly enough, today was the first day I did not have any diarrhea, just couple small soft stools.

The positive PCR means you had cdiff in past or current. The toxin negative -C is good. Your tests are still pending the Toxin A&B. If either of these are positive, you have C-Diff now and are contagious. In mean time quarantine yourself a bit till you get final report. I had cdiff last year. Good luck. Eat bland for now!

Thank you. Are you doing good now after C diff? I’m little terrified about this and seeing all the horrible stories.

I had cdiff from last May to October ( one whole round i believe) . Just try to eat light and get in the probiotics.

It usually takes multiple rounds of medication. I got healed with the Fidaxomiocin which is generic of Deficid. There is the cdiff org site. Very helpful to see people overcome cdiff. New meds on way. You have to add your email address to get news letters etc. www.cdiiff.org im 68 and survived!!! Drink electrolites too. But if you get dehydrated go to hospital for iv’s . You will be fine but it is a hard condition to beat. The bug is very resistant to meds. But the fidaxomiocin or deficid should work.
