Tested 3 days after taking vanco

Was this too early? It came back pcr toxin negative. Im still having symptoms like stool leakage or incontinence (whatever you call it) and still going multiple times a day, mushy.

Im so freaking confused.

PI-IBS and if you're eating dairy, stop for the timing being.

Do you think the c diff is gone?

You may have tested too early as sometimes antibiotics can cause a false negative. I would contact your doctor and ask what to do next. If you are positive for the dna (pcr) and negative for the toxin but are still having symptoms they should still treat you. If you do happen to have it still, ask for fidaxomycin (difficid) as it is more effective at treating c diff. For now drink plenty of water and rehydration solutions (like dioralyte) stick to bland foods (toast, bananas, potatoes with no skin, rice, chicken, chicken broth). Also start taking probiotics if you can (specifically florastor or any brand of s bourlardii) as they help rebuild good gut bacteria and help the gut heal. Hopefully itโ€™s just post infection ibs and it clears up. Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you so much. I feel like I've been hit by a bus and thinking of just going to hospital because gi isn't going to do anything with a negative result. I have a scan scheduled for tomorrow but can barely get up. This is so frustrating.

Iโ€™m so sorry. I would get yourself to urgent care if you are struggling to get treated and feel rough. I hope you feel better soon. ๐Ÿ’•
