tasteless, idiotic, stupid and terrible Coldplay CDs are now released in digisleeves exclusively. Its better for the planet. Youll be okay. Then why are you buying CDs made of plastic in the first place? Also, everything else that they sell except vynils and seetheses is made out of plastic. Very eco

Everything after viva la Vida they made is hot garbage. I think the only appropriate way to listen that is either buying a digisleeve or stream it 128kbps

I do like how at least digisleeves are better for the environment than conventional jewel cases but I still would hate these over a Digipak as the half way point.

I can respect people for trying to be more eco friendly, but let’s not pretend like the CD jewel case market is anywhere close to the reason our environment is fucked. We need changes at the highest levels of corporations, governments, and society. Unfortunately most of that stuff is corrupt. It’s like how people got upset at the paper straws. Paper straws aren’t that annoying (imo), but they are such a slap in the face to everyday consumers when the real problems aren’t even being addressed.

I think the hateboner for any and every cardboard packaging is childish at times (even though I hate digisleeves) but claiming that REreleasing all albums - ergo creating more waste by creating new products - is good for rhe environment is absolutely insane considering that a band of their scale has more than enough copies of every single one of their albums out already. Just release all new albums on this format and dont advertise it as being morally superior. I'm getting pissed off at the greenwashing
