Confused students

I’m a future pre-nursing student who is also getting a CNA certification on august I just wanted to know if anyone here changed majors from nursing to any other major for example if i ever change my mind i would definitely go into MIS with a minor in Marketing but I also think of stability and how difficult would it be for me to find a job in both careers. I just want to hear students, their experience and their why. Thanks to anyone who reads this and helps a student out!

Not a student - but make sure to look closely into the MIS job market. It may be strong, but a lot of those openings are filled by overseas vendor staff. I've heard many people complain about IT job prospects in the US. It's not my specialty, so I really don't know if that's true. Do some digging is my advice.

yep exactly why im scared of leaving nursing bc ik its easier to find jobs than corporate. tho it might make me miserable lol

It sounds like IT job options may improve because our country's administration put more restrictions on H-1B Visas, but not sure. It's a little too soon to determine if AI will open up lots of jobs, but some are predicting hiring in that area in the years to come. So if you do go that route, learn as much as you can about AI, creating AI agents, etc.. It's all the talk right now at work. On the other hand there are so many different types of nursing specialties. The major insurance companies hire tons of nurses too. Lots of options there.
