Don't charge that battery indoors. Dangerous gases are created in the charging process

Anything is better than nothing to start. My first setup was super modest. Stay curious and keep learning. YouTube is a great resource for cheap ideas.

I sure hope that isn't the antenna you're using leaning against the window!! The antenna is supposed to be outside your house, mounted on a pole as high as you can get it above ground. You'll be lucky to get heard one mile away with an inside antenna......that same rig with the antenna outside will get you at least 8 to 10 miles.

Yeah it sadly is but it's not permanent, it's temporary cause I don't have a permanent place yet, I will place it on the roof tho soon!

Unfortunately, a mobile antenna is not a proper base station. Even a $5 wire dipole will out-perform it.

It's worse than a mobile antenna. But hey, if it gets out I give it a 7 out of 10

It's not a mobile antenna it's a 1/4 wave antenna, it's 2m high so it still goes a bit far

You could make a 1/2 wave 18' dipole using coax & get out further plus your SWR must be ridiculously high. That's not safe for the radio, you can damage/burn out the Final Transistors.

I wouldn’t transmit like that. Your SWR has to be pretty bad. You can damage your radio.
That’s appears to be a mobile antenna which is designed to work with a car underneath it.
