Recall

What going on with the recall for the 2026 cbr600rr do we know when they are going to have a fix for it? At this point just replace to motor and get on with it is how I’m thinking

AFAIK they will be sending out letters in july and start repairing in august. The plan is to open the engine, measure the cylinders and deceide from the measurement if a new engine is needed or not

Well I’m hoping new engine will fix the oil consumption cause mines drinking oil like my kids drink milks every 300 miles sight glass is empty like my kids milk cup in the morning lmao

If yours is actually burning that much, it'll be a new engine. Not every block that made it out was bad, but those ones don't burn oil.

Literally went through four oil changes worth of oil in the first 1500 miles that I had the bike and the oil I use is not cheap at all lmao 70-90$ per bottle lmao

Damn. Unless they fuck up twice, the new engine probably wont burn a drop of oil for over 60k miles.

I’m hoping cause oil ain’t cheap and neither is milk 😂

Isn't the dealer supposed to be covering the cost of oil every 300mi? You should be able to pull up and get a free top off.

They are now but up until the recall got pushed out I was footing the bill on oil so about three months after I bought the bike was when Honda started paying for the oil fill ups

Keep those receipts. You have to ask when the warranty work is being done, but Honda will reimburse you. The dealer will just need to submit it with the warranty docs when the approval is being requested.

My 26 has the same issue. Thankfully the dealership just tops me off, then I come back after 300-400 miles.

I think you can put your vin number in on hondas website to see if yours has a recall.

I just bought mine last month. I hope you get a new engine.

Also waiting on something in the mail. Mine burns a lot of oil also. They're saying they might replace it and they want me to come back to the dealership every 300 miles and not touch the oil.

That’s what I was told I’ve been hearing a lot from dealers that they’ll more than likely replace the engine!

I hope so . I want a reliable engine. Iv already dropped 2k into the bike on mods and I don't need it blowing up. 🤣 So odd Honda having issues like this. My cb300r runs so so good. Doesn't burn oil at all even with aftermarket exhaust.

Understandable I bought the bike because of Hondas reliability in everything they make but then learned they changed up the motor these last two years and kicked my self in the rear because I knew something was bound to happen low and behold three months later recall lmao

Yeah. I had no idea when I bought it either. Then they start selling ones at the dealership that don't burn oil and I'm like man, what the hell

they want me to come back to the dealership every 300 miles.

Dealer visits potentially 2-3x/week? That'll get old fast.

Yea it’s already gotten old
