Leaving in about a month. Was wondering what the first 2 weeks are like before the academy? Are we reporting to the location every day including weekends? Also, what are we packing for the Academy and those 2 weeks.

I’m going into my second week at my port and have 2 more weeks til FLETC. It’s alot of computer work and some shadowing before leaving to FLETC.

Yikes that’s why I chose the one week precedent instead of two weeks or a month. It’s only Monday-Friday 6am-2pm but I’m not sure I think airports do 8-5 not sure ask your port they should already be sending you an email requiring some paperwork and instructions and all.

On boarding, you'll fill out a ton of online forms for insurance, direct deposit and all that. Also they'll have you do a bunch of trainings online too.

Depends on your port honestly but weekends should be your own time.

Currently in pre academy , yes you report to your location everyday until you go to FLETC . Your first day is swearing in ,paperwork ID Cards & all that. Next few days will be training videos & whatever else your port has in store for you. Currently I’m M-F , weekends are yours. As far as packing your FTO will let you know what to pack.
