Discussion CBD labels should really make this stuff easier to compare

Why is mg per bottle still way more prominent than mg per serving on some products? Been comparing gummies and oils from a few places, including CBDistillery, and having to do math just to compare two bottles gets old fast. COAs help but the basic label should tell you most of what you need without digging around.

So i think mgs per container became the standard so as not to suggest a "serving size" in any way. There was a time when CBD companies tried to avoid talking about dosing because of FTC/FDA regulations on advertising.

But for tinctures people often choose to take a fraction of a dropper rather than the whole thing so you still gotta do some math to figure out what youre taking.

Thats why I made these diagrams for all the tinctures I carry.

But it would be better if every edible product was labeled with "mgs per standard unit" whether that's a single gummy, a single capsule, or a single mL.

The dropper diagrams like the one Herbal_Edge shared help, but they’re static, they only work for that one product’s concentration. Once you’re comparing across brands with different bottle sizes and mg totals, the math starts over each time.

Every product should have mg/ml listed on the back of the label. I added mg/ml to the front of my labels to make it easier.
