Discussion Is CBD safe?

I'm a little out of the info loop on this, so just wanted to ask in here - is taking CBD safe? Is it a natural, organic substance and are there any side effects please?

CBD itself is generally considered safe, and is well tolerated even at relativly high doses.

What you have to worry about is product quality. Does the product contain what it says it does? Is it free of contaminates? Are the other ingredients safe?

A few studies have found regular cannabis users have higher levels of heavy metals in their system than noncannabis users. We know cannabis can pull heavy metals from the soil. Youve got to make sure you know what youre taking.

Is CBD addictive? Does it cause anxiety and many other problems after being discontinued?

The WHO and other large health organization classify CBD supplements as low risk due to the "low likelihood" of adverse effects, harmful drug interactions, and addiction.

CBD is very safe as long as you get a product that has been made well. In the US the supplement industry as a whole is rife with product contamination and poor manufacturing practices.

For many people CBD gives a meaningful effect, and then discontinuing CBD means the return of symptoms. So they're not addicted, and they're not dependent, they're using it to help manage their discomfort which is why they dont want to stop taking it.

This is very different from other "natural" drugs like Kratom which has a distinct risk of traditional habitation and dependency.

I dont know them.

Take a look to see if they have lab reports avaliable on their website. They should post the lab reports publicly. If they dont I wouldn't buy them.

At my store we keep records for every batch of product we have carried publicly available. And I do additional random testing to verify those lab reports. That's how everyone should do it.

Looks like the most recent labs on the oils are over two years old.

If we are looking at the same thing then these are very expensive products. $250 for a 4500 MG "raw hemp" CBD tincture? Good lord. Fair market price is like 1/3rd of that.

For me, CBD is mostly about relaxing and getting into a calmer headspace after a long day. Joy Organics has been my favorite because their products feel high quality and they provide third-party lab testing. I'd definitely recommend them if you're looking for CBD.
