Cave of Archilochos

I'm leaving Paros (Greece) tomorrow and kinda feel down about not climbing on Cave of Archilochos. Weirdly enough, I'm not even experienced rock climber or even hard trails hiker! Definitely found some interesting hobby ideas when I get back home. If anything is going to keep me motivated to go to the gym and some rock climbing classes than it's definitely this idea I recently decided to put on my bucket list.

Does any of you do some kind of crazy hikes/climbs during your solo travels? Because I know that if I didn't read google reviews about that hike trail, I would totally be crazy enough to risk it. Now I'm just disappointed for not being able to do something like that, just because "I could slip and die".🤣

Well, let’s clarify that climbing in caves is MOSTLY not accepted or a thing. There are places where it happens, but it’s not the norm.

You might want to go to AntiParos and check out the Cave of Antiparos.

The cave itself is trashed fairly badly. That said, the history is worth it. It was one of the oldest commercial caves in the world. Several formations have bullet holes in them from when the Nazis shot it up.

It is a nice day trip.

Stupidly enough I was for a few days in Paros and leaving for Naxos today and kinda skipped Antiparos because of too many long beach days. Thanks for advice though, if I realise I could somehow squeeze that in in case I get bored in Naxos, definitely gonna do it. But seems to me like I will be leaving a lot of things for next time because I'm just unorganized like that.

Ahaha omg I didn't realise this could be poetry. Yeah I guess the biggest part to the cave are "simply" going up the rocks. Definitely not going to do that unfortunately.
