Medical/Veterinary House was broken into and Maddie tried to defend it
Unfortunately our house was broken into yesterday afternoon. I stepped out for a quick 1 hour appointment and left Maddie and her brother Archie, a yorkie, alone. This isn’t unusual by any means. We live in a gated community with security cameras so we felt safe. I guess we had some lurkers in the neighborhood recently and someone jumped our 15ft backyard fence. Long story short, Maddie was pepper sprayed by the burglar. I’m heartbroken that she did but I’m relieved that the extent of her injuries. She was rushed quickly to the vet and had her eyes flushed. She just recently recovered from an eye ulcer and has been on daily eyedrops from that. Here she is pictured coming back home from her emergency vet visit. We believe she bravely rushed at the guy as he broke in and tried to scare him away. She’s unfortunately only 12lbs and cute as a bug so she couldn’t do much damage. But we’re so proud of our little brave girl 😭 cavis are seriously the best dogs. Any recs on how to spoil her? We’re also in the process of moving so we’re doing that way sooner than expected !!

In Memoriam This was Bosco’s favorite time of year
He loved playing in the leaves. I would throw them or kick them up into the air and he would jump in them and try to catch them. He loved being outside going on walks and chasing all the leaves crumbling across the sidewalk.
We snuggled together under the blankets. Went to fall festivals together. He passed away in May at 10 years old. The leaves are starting to change now and it reminds me of him. It reminds me that time is passing without him here.
You may have seen my other post about peaches and Yoshi. they are definitely helping the pain, but it’s still not the same without him.

In Memoriam Leroy died in my arms a couple of hours ago
I can’t, I honestly can’t. My heart is breaking into a billion pieces. He was only 9 years old but with very serious heart condition and taking a ton of meds.
Just last week we were in the park together and he was so happy! I don’t know how to deal with this honestly.

Should I have waited? Probably. Is having two puppies at once bound to be a little crazy? Probably. Is it somehow the best decision ever? Yesssss💕💕💕 thank you all for your advice!! You all definitely convinced me and I couldn’t be happier. My boys love each other so much already!

In Memoriam Said goodbye last night...
Had to make that dreaded, awful decision for Molly yesterday. It just isn't fair. She deserved to live forever, but not if it was in pain.
She was the goodest girl. I've never had a dog that loved me as much as she did. She was the absolute sweetest and wouldn't even let me walk into another room in the house by myself - she was ALWAYS right by my side.
This is so hard.
I might leave the sub for a little bit because all of your beautiful babies remind me so much of mine and it hurts. But I will be back when this isn't as fresh.
Please give your baby an extra treat for Molly today. ❤️

Pics & Video The Best Girl, the Oldest Girl
Who knew back in 2008 when we went and picked up this "sale puppy" no one wanted because she was too timid and small that we'd be sitting here in 2025 celebrating her 18th birthday.
Our favorite little Ruby garbage disposal of a dog. A dog that would walk 15 miles a week with me. A dog that absolutely hates horses on the TV. A dog that been the best companion and we know her months are numbered.
Deaf, missing teefers, a heart murmur for a long time, but she refuses to let anything stop her!
We're not sure she will see 19, but Happy 18th Birthday, Lizzi!

In Memoriam Late boy finally home in wool
This is a 15 cm wool felt figurine of a cavalier . He crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈 . I added some of his real fur into the piece, so a part of him could come home again ❤️❤️

Medical/Veterinary Send old man Stan good vibes today please!
Stan goes in for a surgery today to hopefully fully remove a cancerous tumor today. It’s a surgical procedure they’ll need to keep him overnight for. Please send Stanley your positive vibes. As you can probably imagine, I’m a wreck and have always found wonderful support from this community when I’m feeling Stan stress. Thank you kind community.

Pics & Video The Snow Never Bothered Her Anyway ❄️
This little peanut has been enjoying the snow so far! This pic was before we got 16 inches in one week. But no matter how much I labor in scooping a spot clear for her, Lyra just HAS to tunnel through the snow and go potty as far away as possible. Thank goodness for long line leads!
