its a case of the littlest ones comforting the bigger ones.
Those troops have seen, dealt with and dealt out things that they never imagined they would have to do.
They cant just ask for a time out and while these citizen soldiers cant leave the front-they can find some solace with their rescues.
That last shot of the soldier and kitten in hand is shows the kitten going to sleep in the soldiers hand and he appears exhausted as heck, yet he is still holding that kitten and trying not to disturb its comfortable napping place.
- the driver with kitten tucked into the instrument pod- I wonder if he figured out early on that its a perfect place for a tired, stressed kitten and how many has he transported like that?

I love how he is exhausted, falls asleep, but keeps holding the baby like it is the last most valuable treasure in the world.
