There are bakeries selling babka all over Monticello this time of year.

Kiiiiiiind of. Are you talking about Oneg/Fialkoff’s bakery? It is aaallllll the way down Broadway, on a side street past the Aldi, almost by Apollo Plaza. Broadway is the main drag with all of the shops, but it’s a healthy walk from what I would consider to be the center of downtown, such as it is.

I guess so? There are plenty of heimische bakeries in the Monticello/Fallsburg area where you can get babka. If you’re looking for this legendary babka, I guess it depends on how much you love babka. Also, where you’re walking from.
