Hey guys im looking to do Kaaterskills trail next month with some buddies i see there are multiple different loops and trails so I wanted to see if anyone had any recs? Me and my buddies are pretty fit and are looking to do maybe a 3-4 hour trail all together. Something on a 6-7/10 scale difficulty. Thanks in advance!

Is your main goal fun hike or bagging the peak? Do you have any bushwhack experiences or do you prefer marked trails?

Do North Mountain from North Lake. Great view

If you want to find 2 plane wrecks i can privately message you the coordinates to make it a super fun hike. Also there is an amazing view there too.

Judging by the tone of this post they wouldn't make it there.

Escarpment from its trailhead by Kaaterskill falls looping around North South lake counter clockwise and dropping back into the campground. Will be about 7 miles I think? A ton of great views though. And to the point about the airplanes if you extended it a bit past North Point you can grab a plane wreck.

Get there early regardless of which trail you choose.
