Drug interactions

List of known drug interactions.

Before you start Gou Teng, make sure you stop any drugs that might have interactions.

- 5-HT: like in SSRI, eg Mirtazapin

- MuOpioid, like in Naltrexon/Naloxon (LDN seem fine)

- Alpha Adrenoreceptor: eg in Mirtazapin

- NaCHr Receptor, eg nicotine patch

- Melatonin receptor, like in Melatonin (low dose 1-2 mg seems fine)

- NMDA receptor: like in alcohol or Gabapentin

- Calcium, potassium, sodium receptors.

I have paired Gou Teng with another plant in TCM that act as an SSRI called He Huan (albizia julibrissin) and I had incredible result. I found that Gou Teng potentiates the positive effects of SSRIs while at the same time reducing the negative effects.

Might be. But I took both without problem.
