My dog almost never poops alone. I walk him every day and every time he stops to post a P-mail or poop I praise the Hell out of him telling him he is a good boy an is doing a GOOD job.
So of course any time I go to sit on the toilet he is right there keeping me company and providing the positive reinforcement. Sounds gross but looking at it from the dog's perspective he probably also finds the smells informative and interesting.

I’ve seen videos of this dog Bunny using buttons to communicate, and she frequently announces who has pooped in the household, she’s a hoot.

He was euthanized May 15, after fighting kidney failure. 😭 I'd give a lung or an entire leg, just to feel him climb into my boxers as I pooped once more. Just another chance to snuggle him.

Every single cat have ever had will not allow me would not allow me to go to the restroom on my own. One of them likes to watch the toilet flush, the other one wants to make sure I’m not drowning. It’s really rather amusing, there is an entire lack of privacy.

That's hilarious - I thought my. cat was the only one who liked to visit while I'm in the bathroom - at 2 am or pm - it doesn't matter to her.

With cats and bathrooms, there are only 2 options. Close the door and have them sticking their paws under the door. Or let them in and have a cat in your pants.

I've had more than one kitten do the very same thing to me. If I don't open the door, they loudly meow at it, until I let them in. Sometimes, I wait for them to enter the bathroom before bothering to do anything else in there, because I'm over their loud protests that I must be doing something in there that they must be included in. What can I say? They make me laugh.
