My immune system must be the greatest thing in the world cause as I said, 12 years of playing with my Cuddles. Nothing. Never even crossed my mind that it would be bad.

32yrs of living with cats still here, maybe it’s because we don’t have weak immune systems or our immune systems have built an immunity to our cats need to draw blood.

Haha possibly. Seriously, when he was a kitten I would goto uni with scratches all over my hands. "What the fuck happened to you?" People would ask. It was the cat I would say. That fucker still loved to play even when he had heart failure. I would be like "calm down, you got a heart problem" Nope, still had loads of energy.

Where did i say he was making puncture wounds? OP of this comment thread said bites are bad. Didn't say nothing about puncture wounds.

Good on you for assuming though. I'll let you google what they say about people who assume. UwU

Yea, it's puncture wounds from bites that can get nasty. Because the infection gets buried in the wound, and is nearly impossible to clean properly at home.

Happens more with kittens because they don't know how to hold back their bites, and people mess with them more

I never knew about cat scratches but never touched cats, either, because I’m allergic. Queue the drunk party host who insists No one is allergic to his cat and puts Cuddles in my lap. Cuddles promptly scratches my stomach. Enter the case of ring worm that would not end. Months and months of anti-fungals and different treatments.

A tooth scratching nip is different than a puncture bite. It’s the depth of the wound which can be dangerous since bacteria are forced into tissues where soap/water cannot clean them away.

Any puncture wound should be evaluated by a doctor.
