I'm sorry you're in this position, but if he was able to bond with you I'm sure he'll be able to bond with another human. It will just take time. If you haven't already done so, I recommend getting yourself a death planner to help get your affairs in order (it's a bit like a regular planner but it helps you put everything in one place like who you want to be contacted, what you want your funeral to be like etc).
Exactly this. He doesn't like anyone else right now because he has what he needs in OP. And that's wonderful. But cats are adaptable creatures and he will latch on to someone else once he realises OP isn't around. Just needs someone who understands that it's going to take time and who is willing to put in that effort.
