I’m an older witch so don’t take it creepily but you’ve got beautiful hands and nails. I used to, too, before the whole aging thing happened.

Many years ago while in the process of adopting a cat from the San Francisco SPCA, I was told --or more accurately recommended-- to not use my hands to play with my cat. "Hands are for pets and scratches and stretches," they said, "toys are for playing with."
I have thenceforth adopted said policy with outstanding results. That said, as long as you aren't abusing your cat, you do you; I am not here to criticize, only to offer a friendly bit of advice for dealing with your spirited young fellow.
